When tags are published, they are loaded into various “Publish” domains in SPF. These domains serve both as a record of the information delivered to SPF and as the information to be retrieved into another tool. Among the published information from all tools, SPF then determines which tags are the same and consolidates them into a single entity within the CDW domain of SPF. The CDW tag entity uses the various attributes of the tag from all the published domains where the tag was found and uses customized rules to attribute any property that may exist in multiple published domains.
The CTA is treated as any other authoring tool and publishes to a published domain before being consolidated into the CDW. The CDW has been configured to consolidate tags and does not consolidate documents. The CDW contains all tags as they are published and serves as the source for the master tag register.
