Creating Relationships between Objects

In the Actions menu, select Relationship Builder.

The Relationship Builder window opens.

There are three (3) tabs (options) for establishing relationships.

The current tab is indicated in blue and underlined.  Select the desired tab by clicking it with your mouse.

On the Pins tab, select Pinboard to view a list of items currently on your pinboard.

The pinboard is useful for gathering a list of several objects before using the Relationship Builder.

On the Pins tab, select New Items to view a list of items currently in your New Items list.

Refer to Pinboard and New Items Lists.

Select the checkbox beside each object you want to establish a relationship with.

You can select more than one object at a time.

Select RELATE to establish the relationship(s).

A confirmation box is displayed.

If required, select a relationship type from the dropdown list of Available Relationships.

Select OK or CANCEL.

Select the Search tab to open the search bar.

Use the search bar to search for required objects.  Refer to Search for Documents using the Search Bar.

Select the checkbox beside each object you want to establish a relationship with.

You can select more than one object at a time.

Select RELATE to establish the relationship(s).

A confirmation box is displayed.

If required, select a relationship type from the dropdown list of Available Relationships.

Select OK or CANCEL.

Select the checkbox beside each object you want to terminate a relationship with.

You can select more than one object at a time.

Select TERMINATE to terminate the relationship(s).

A confirmation box is displayed.  Select OK or CANCEL.
