CWP Progress Calculation

The construction work package (CWP) progress is very similar to the EWP progress.  Profiles determine the progress of a given deliverable of a CWP and the package progress is the average progress of all the deliverables within that package. The standard 40001-EM-STD-60059 defines the deliverable profiles and the earned progress based on the latest issued status of the document.  Hold values, cancelled and obsolete documents follow the same logic described in EWP Progress Calculation

Unlike EWP progress, there is no option to override earned progress; progress is calculated by the system for consumption only. Profiles are associated with the deliverable itself which means that if a document is associated with more than one CWP, it will be given the same progress in each package.

Deliverables may be associated to a CWP using either Master or Revision object associations, or both (refer to Creating Relationships between Objects). Whichever the case, the calculation is based on the latest issued revision rather than the revision that may be directly associated to the CWP.  For example, if revision B (Issued for Review) has been associated to the work package, but the document has since been revised and issued as revision 0 (Issued for Construction), the progress calculation will be based on revision 0 (Issued for Construction) even though revision B is the one associated with the package.
