Commissioning scope drawings illustrate the boundaries of subsystems within drawings like P&IDs, SLDs etc. These renditions of the drawing can be attached only to signed off (CURRENT) revisions of the document by the Subsystem Scope Coordinator or Commissioning Manager.
The information can then be sent for approval using the Scope Drawing Approval workflow under Create Commissioning Transmittals. Refer to SPF Transmittals and Workflows for steps on how to issue the information.
Information is routed first for Area Approval and then for Acceptance by the Commissioning Manager.
From your notification item, you can use the Action Menu to Complete the workflow step.
Refer to Search for Documents to view the status of any scope drawings in the system.
Important!
Within SPF, functionality depends on adherence to the scope drawing naming convention: <Document Number>_<Revision Number>_<Additional Text>CM_[Scope Revision]
Revising a document creates a new revision object of the document. The new revision is a WORKING revision. The old revision will maintain its Commissioning Approval Status. The new revision will carry forward the scope drawing unless explicitly removed by the individual making the revision however, the Commissioning Approval Status will not be available until a new scope drawing is attached with a name carrying the number of the new revision: <Document Number>_<Revision Number>_<Additional Text>CM_[Scope Revision]. While the revision is WORKING, anyone with edit rights to the revision can add/remove files of the revision as required. Hence, after the revision is signed off CURRENT, the Subsystem Scope Coordinator or Commissioning Manager should then manage the Scope Drawing and resubmit it for approval.
Attaching a new version of a Commissioning Scope Drawing reverts the approval of the Scope Drawing and it must be resubmitted to once again show as Approved.
Commissioning Approval pertains to only some documents within SPF. Commissioning Approval will remain NULL until a correctly named scope drawing is attached to the revision.
